Hotel National Bern

Great hotel with great wi-fi, helpful luggage storage, and a cozy bar/lounge area. The staff once recommended a local taxi. I'm excited to return for Christmas!

Close to the train station and center, great breakfast.

The hotel of choice in Bern. Clean place & super-friendly and extremely accommodating staff especially the receptionists. Good location - near to main train station and center, and the centre. Huge and cheap room with a good breakfast.

This was a very basic hotel. Not value for money. The worst hotel I have stayed at for this price. But that may be the cost level in Switzerland.

Close to city cerntre and train station. I have to say it is really location. The room was very warm. Did not use the share shower room, but I looks like clean. The bed is comfotable.

I stayed in a single room. The room is very very small, like a bathroom. That was I felt when I open the door. If you only stay one night, i'd like to recommend with this kind of price.

Proximity to rail station able to have 3 singles in room

Excellent location, 5 minutes on foot to the central station and 10-15 to the Federal Parliament Square. There is also a bus and tram stop just in front of the hotel, if you want to use the excellent transportation system of the city. Comfort and cleaning are really good for a two stars hotel. There's also wi-fi available in rooms. The hotel staff is kind and friendly. It has a restaurant, if you don't want to get out of the hotel by night.

it was fairly clean with very welcoming and exceptionally nice staff especially the receptionists. great and absolutely perfect location exactly where we wanted to be walk from a train station.

Tradition feel to the hotel with old-fashioned lift and spacious reception. Excellent location very close to train station and walking distance to old town. Lots of personality in the style of the hotel decor - either old or modern room decor. Tv in room.

Our room was quite small with limited storage. Somewhat noisy as we had a corner room suggesting thin walls.

It was near easy to access transportation to and from my meetings. It was very convenient to the train station so that my husband had easy access to day trips to other cities and exploring Bern, itself, via bus. It was within easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The breakfast provided with the room was entirely adequate start to the day; coffee was excellent.

The noise of the buses and trains could be detrimental to some traveler's rest. It did not bother my husband and myself as much as the noisy people enjoying the restaurant directly below our windows.

Charming and Convenient

Staff were lovely and really helpful. Only thing is, the reception closes kinda early, so plan your arrival. Oh, and I enjoyed grabbing a snack at the lounge area too!

I loved how this hotel was just a few steps from the Universal Post Monument and only a short walk to the amazing Museum of Fine Arts, made exploring Bern so easy and enjoyable for me as a weekend traveler.

Friendly staff.

It was quite noisy in the family room from the trams running outside (until 1am). The room could benefit from double glazing. The bathroom could do with being updated. The units, including the shower and toilet seat were a bit fragile.
